Before we headed out of town this week, there were a few 'errands' that needed to be completed!  One of them was repairing some of the Elders ties......one of the companionships that live close t us.

And I got one more birthday gift in the mail!  I like celebrating all month long!  Kind of a fun way to do it......love these bracelets!

And one more 'project' completed before we left town......this one was headed to Chelsea.  We mailed it on our way out of town.

And as we were driving through South Carolina headed to the North Carolina Charlotte Mission, there was more rain coming down.  That is exactly what S.C. doesn't need.  They are still recovering from the 20-26 inches they got just a few weeks ago.  Bless their hearts!

One of the little luxuries we enjoy about our hotel stays (and there are many of those!) is when we 'find' microwave popcorn in our room!  Nice job Hampton Inn.

We were in 3 different church buildings this week.  Gastonia, Charlotte South and Hickory.

This particular mission has a local company come and do 'curbside service' (i.e. oil changes, etc.) on the mission cars.  This guy was super nice, and not a member of the church yet.  Couldn't help but notice the name of the company.....we thought of you, Andy, when we saw this!

This 3-some companionship got 'creative' and bought matching sweaters to wear.  Sister Garlick (the mission nurse) on the far right was envious and wanted to have a sweater to match theirs.  I suppose she headed to the local Walmart to pick one up for herself as soon as she had a chance!

President Alexander, mission President, thanking those who prepared the food for lunch prior to our singing to them and enjoying the good food.

Meanwhile, back at the hotel, we changed into our walking clothes and headed out for some much needed exercise.  Got a 'glimpse' of us in the mirror as we waited for the elevator.  Couldn't resist.

The fall colors continue....and were so pretty.

As we were walking around this particular area, we noticed this beautifully painted bench.  It was just so pretty that we couldn't resist in taking the foto.

We almost always stop here as we drive through South Carolina......going and coming to and from our missions.  We LOVE their hand dipped ice cream....and their fresh peaches and apples in season.

We made our way back to Atlanta.....cloudy, dreary, rainy....just the way we left it earlier in the week.

YEAH that Chelsea got her afghan......hopefully she liked it!

And yet another greasy, rainy, chilly day here in PTC!  Enough already.

We attended the Atlanta Ward.  We had been asked to speak in their Sacrament Meeting.  We love going to this ward.

And low and behold, after Sacrament Meeting was over this good brother and his son came up to us.  We told him he looked familiar.  As he should.....Kevin and Lauren's neighbor.  He was in Atlanta for a week on business and happened to be visiting the ward as well.  Small, small world in the church.
And folks, that concludes yet another week.  We are headed back up and over to the North Carolina Charlotte Mission again this week.  Stay tuned......Love to you all!  We surely appreciate your love and support in our mission.  Have a safe week everyone....and watch for reindeer!!  :-)
